Caring for your silk
Direct Sunlight Alert
Silk is a protein spun by silkworms and is very strong.
However, over time direct sunlight is to silk what Kryptonite is to Superman. Silk fibers may weaken and colors fade if left in direct sunlight for long periods.
Please store or hang your silk away from direct sunlight.

Silk Dyes
I paint directly on the silk with French acid dyes. When the painting is complete, the silks are steamed and washed. After steaming, the dye molecules have bonded with the silk. When complete, the silks are colorfast and washable.
